Still in China but keeping an eye on things. The organizers are doing the very best they can right now concidering the circumstances:/ Updates about the twists and turns:

“Desiderii Marginis was formed by Johan Levin in 1993 in Mjölby, Sweden as a solo project. The first three tapes Consecrare, Via Peregrinus and Triptych were originally released in very limited editions, however in 2009 these tracks were released on the retrospective album Years Lend a Golden Charm. Some of these songs appeared in new versions on Songs Over Ruins, the debut album released on Cold Meat Industry in 1997.” – Wiki
“Sephiroth was created in the year 1990 by Ulf Söderberg, through a genuine and burning interest for myths, rituals, and enigmatic monuments and places erected by mankind itself. Influenced by Graeme Revell, Lustmord and Nurse With Wound, Sephiroth relate stories about the inexorable and destructive power of Time, mankind’s futile attempts of resistance, and the sunken cities, fallen towers, and overgrown ruins that this has resulted in. Dark eerie soundscapes and ritualistic drums are combined with own field recordings from places like Cairo, Iceland and gloomy Nordic forests.” – discogs.com
“What can we say about Roger Karmanik? How can we even estimate his contribution to the most extreme and experimental aspects of power electronic music ? The captain of the legendary Cold Meat Industry gave the boost to the darkest and wildest sounds of industrial music and, through his own project BDN, disturbed by the power of sound, the brutality of words, the simplicity of the spoken horror, Karmanik defined Death as Bright and revealed the aspects of his own world that few dare to bring up clear.” – Last Day Deaf
“In the foreground doesn’t stand the wish to follow any specific genre, but the attraction of combining harsh sounds with the more beautiful and light, accepting the influence classic and modern orchestral music had on them.” – Band bio
Darkness comes in many forms…
If you’ve ever been into genres like Dark Ambient, Neofolk, Power Electronics or Martial Industrial you must have surely heard of the legendary label Cold Meat Industry.
“Sophia was first started in 1998 when Peter Bjärgö recorded plenty of songs as a side project to Arcana. Those songs were unfortunately destroyed and the thought of a harscher side project blossomed again in 2000. The first album was recorded with the intention of making songs for a live performance. Together with Per Åhlund, Peter Bjärgö performed a few live shows and in 2001 the first release came out, entitled “Aus Der Welt”. ” – Band bio
First out often means (at least at metal gigs in Stockholm) that you perform for a handful of people. SOPHIA maybe started that way, but only because a big part of the crowd were still queuing outside waiting to get their wristbands. It started to fill up pretty quickly in front of the stage, tho, so it was quite packed in the venue after awhile.
Typiska Strand ljus. Lite i den snyggare skalan dock. Giget i sig var fantastiskt bra och jag fick min vinyl. Bra kväll.
FIRESPAWN destroyed!! It won´t be much heavier and more crushing than this! I even filmed one of the songs, but so far my small piece of shit cam won´t co-operate and let med download the clip. But I will eventually outsmart the bloody gadget:/ Found a clip made by max westman, tho, so I share that one for now.
The new album “The Reprobate” will be released in April!
“The brainchild of Entombed AD bassist Victor Brandt and Necrophobic bassist Alex Friberg, this latest meeting of malevolent minds has conjured one of the most startling and impressive metal albums of 2015, Shadow Realms. A tour de force of pulverising but crafted death metal grandeur, it couldn’t be further away from all those archetypal half-arsed side-projects and sounds like the beginning of something genuinely exciting.”

HORNA from Finland. No bullshit!
“Through-out the years the lyrics of Horna ventured from harsh anti-christian hatred, paganism and fairytales to severe exaltations of the occult, the mysteries of the dark side of mankind and Satanism – from youthful outbursts of anger to ever more maturing inner enlightenment.”

Great show again by the Irishmen! Haven´t seen them for a couple of years now and no totally new recorded studio stuff since the last time at Blastfest, but they did release a live from the 2015 edition of Bang Your Head in Germany. Streaming here!
REVEAL are back for sure!!! Freaking beautiful intense show! Ester S. volunteered us to take down the smashed mirrors after the show, so we spent some time on the stage trying not to slash our veins.
We also got some pieces of left over fence from the security guys and built ourselves a photopit. It kinda worked but at some point the mid part of it had moved closer and closer to the stage and E.S. got trapped in the other end for the rest of the show xD We didn´t want to disturb the front row crowd, tho, and made the adjustments after.
The brand new “Cadmium” single (7″ vinyl Limited to 300 copies) was for sale at the venue. B side is a Saints cover:))
The second of the P.S.O.A. bands which I had an “agreement” with. Long time friends, all time favourites with another super show and complete with the satanic hellfires signed by P.
Just that someone decided to cut the show off before the extra songs in the end and with still 7 mins of stage time. What was up with that? As far as I know, the P.S.O.A. crew don´t fuck up. It´s all about German quality and precision, so what the hell happened? When the band was coming back for the extras, the drums were already rolling out and stuff being unplugged. And me who (with awesome help from Majk, the official PSOA shooter. Great guy) climbed up in the sound tower to witness the end. Narrow ladder, very steep, very high. For me who´s genuinly afraid of hights, it was totally death defying so shut up!!
And without the last two songs, no bombastic ending in fire with P. finally burning down the whole thing. Ok, I can see the pros of it…:)
But even without the last two, it was an awesome gig! But as great as they are on the big open air stages, I can´t wait to see them at Black Harvest in October!
