A GREAT gig!!! One of the very best at Steelfest!

“Cult band Mortuary Drape was formed in Italy in 1986 as a trio, by the visionary Wildness Perversion. Highly inspired by the dark arts & combining early influences from bands such as Mercyful Fate & Celtic Frost, Mortuary Drape developed their own unique style, defining themselves as black occult metal & releasing the demo Necromancy in 1987 which spread their name throughout the underground; though it was not until 1992 that their first official release surfaced, with Into the Drape.”  – peaceville.com

BLASFEMIA, black/thrash from Colombia
“Formed in late 1986 by Ramón Reinaldo Restrepo (vocals) and Jhon Jairo Martínez (guitars) after Parabellum disbanded. The band is identified by the image of a harlequin or court jester; a humanoid at the stake incinerating speculations and contradictions to be reborn from his own ashes as the authentic man. Jhon Jairo Martínez got killed in 1998 in Medellín”
Latest full lenght “Mundo que apesta a rata muerta” released in 2018.

“CHAMBER OF UNLIGHT began as the solo work of multi-instrumentalist Necrosis. The man stands as a prolific veteran of Finland’s esteemed extreme metal landscape; during the past 20 years, his credits include Deathchain, Ajattara, Shade Empire, and Trollheims Grott. Joined by drummer Kassara – himself an equally prolific Finnish veteran whose credits likewise include Deathchain and Trollheims Grott but also Horna, Bythos, Forgotten Horror, Striges, and Black Death Ritual among others – CHAMBER OF UNLIGHT released their self-titled debut demo in 2017. Immediately, the eldritch essence of ’90s Finnish black metal was felt, and the storm was only brewing”planetmosh.com

I didn´t stay the whole gig but something happended at some point and the band just walked out without finishing the set. Heard someone got ill but haven´t been googling, so dunno. Sounded good as long I was there, tho. Not much activity on social media so no statements there.

“Initially, Akitsa was made up exclusively of OT and Néant, who came together because of their common taste for “pure” black metal . Éric Syre joined the group after the summer of 2008 , after a tour of Canada with the French Peste Noire and Sombres Forêts . The tour was called “Les treize nuits de la plague”” –
