[Upload Feb 2020] Very bad old pictures:) Found when cleaning up my harddrives. But it was really a fun gig!
Sometime in the spring 2004, me and my friend Erik Destormo marched out to the deep dark woods.
It was night, full moon, snow and cold and we got with us in a plastic bag an axe and a real human skull Erik had borrowed from some guy. And also some stuff to make a few torches. We thought if somebody stops us and ask what the hell we are doing, we tell that we are on our way to the Convent….
Our mission: to take some pics for the upcoming Deceiver album. And so we did…with a sucky camera at a horses (Gubben) grave somewhere in the darkness. It was really spooky and I was afraid of Blair Witch and wild boars.
The pics appeared on three Deceiver albums. Erik left the band after the first one was released.

The band pic below is the sole survivor from the band shoot earlier the same year. Have no clue what happened to the original pictures and Erik Destormo is not even included in this one. Photo taken in Strängnäs.

Heavy stuff and highly enjoyable. Good song writing, crushing live band!
I saw them once before in Stockholm ages ago (Shitty old pics: Kafé 44 w. Facebreaker & Demonical), right after the “Sewers” release. With Juri Sallinen as the vocalist.
They were great already back then but never saw them live again. Before now, that is:) The “new” vocalist (since 2011) Pessi Haltsonen is very convincing. Awesome voice!

Militant Flak ‘N’ Roll from Tallinn, Estonia since 1996. (LOITS meaning spell/incantation)

I reckon there may be some similarities on the rock side in our music to Black ́n ́Roll trend, which was in time of releasing our album Vere kutse kohustab pretty overpowering in the Scandinavia, but otherwise is our music always been either nostalgic or even in some ways innovative. These guys have been around for quite awhile. Can´t say I know that much about Estonian bands but obviously there´s stuff that one should know about. For a lot of people from all over the world, LOITS seemed to be one of the highlights (or THE highlight). Been diving a bit more into their releases and lyrics since I got back home. Also great thing that there are always shitloads of great stuff to discover. It´s neverending and I´m very happy for that:)
