This is my friend Du X., who owns the awesomest vintage clothing shop on Gulou Dongdajie in Beijing. Had a portrait shoot with him one morning before he opened the shop att 11AM.

Metalhead to the core (partly a sucky kind of melofolkdeath taste, but we do agree on many bands. Bathory, Motörhead and so on;) and a collector of all kinds of cool & creepy stuff. Like authentic kapala´s, shrunken heads, Navajo art and also all kinds of old tribal/ritual/sacrificial items from all over.

We were about to do one more shoot before I left Beijing for good for some weeks ago, but it didn´t happen. have to plan for it when I go and visit at some point. There have been some big changes going on in Beijing ever since I moved there May last year and they are far from done yet. Gulou Dongdajie is one of the most popular streets in town and the changes were about to happen there also. Big time. So no one really knows what´s going to happen. Du´s shop is still there for now at least. I´m keeping an eye on my old hood;)

Most of the collected items are not for sale, but they are all over the place, so even if you´re not into getting some nice garments, you can always pop in just to see all the other stuff.
So be sure to pay him a visit if you ever go to Beijing!!:)

» A blog post from that day (Swedish)

I don´t listen to all my music on Spotify but lots of it (also the ones I´ve got as physical copies) because most of the stuff I do is computer based so I´m kinda stuck with it most parts of the day. Then the endless online playlists become really convenient:))
I´ve got some playlists above all which I´m listening to for about 90% of the time and I can share them with you also:) But this is obviously the Top 101 (not in a specific order) from the last years. 9 ½ hours pure joy (almost xD) GRÁ and ARCHGOAT being the top artists. Enjoy!:))

Here you go:

The feeling when something unexpected and very very nice happens:) I have a lots of love for Norway and the people I know there so now I´m taking a moment to give some thanks and promoting the great guys at Norwegian Rat clothing company who just sent me some really great gifts!!  Not just one, but two of their awesome limited edition jackets (the Halvdan Svarte GAAHL´S WYRD one and also the Naglfar edition) and a couple of bags and patches.
All in superb quality and I just LOVE all the details: rat buttons, a paw print here and there, embroideries, inside prints from great Norwegian tattoo artists like Jannicke Wiese-Hansen of Nidhogg Tattoo studio in Bergen (she was also the organizer of the legendary Blekkmetal event in November 2015. N.R. still got some of the festival t-shirts in stock! ) and Dagfinn Bjelland of Karma Tattoo in Haugesund :D
I took some pics to show you (below).

Huge thanks to Thomas, Sølve & Trond! And I think that I have Kirsti R. to thank aswell;))?

“From the east comes Hrym | with shield held high;
In giant-wrath | does the serpent writhe;
O’er the waves he twists, | and the tawny eagle
Gnaws corpses screaming; | Naglfar is loose”

A week to go now!! My favourite guys are entering the recording studio to make the album No.2. Was invited to hang around a day at the rehearsals so I heard it all! And it´s going to be awesome:)) Had a very nice day in the best company. And I took some pics, of course.
If you want to see them live, the next gigs are at Doomtown [Hässleholm] the 28th of March and the 24th of April at Undergången[Sthlm].

Started out early in the morning when Heljarmaðr picked me and Maugrim up and we headed to THE record fair. Many familiar faces there but omg the queue:)) When we were done, we collected Dimman and had some hours of photo shoot (new album in making!! Heard some of it and it sounded great!!) and we finished the day by going with the guys to the Death Kills festival. A very good day! Snatched the pic of Andreas Heljarmaðr but I think I took it with his phone:) Anyways, as usual it takes awhile before I can show any pics from the shoot.

“The name Grá comes from a mixture of the Icelandic “grár” and the Swedish “grå”, simply meaning “gray”. The major content of the lyrical concept is based upon the ancient Scandinavian religion, or rather upon the dark aspects of ancient Scandinavian spirituality. Grá is not a part of any organized religious movements but stands as an independent force. Grá uses Charon from the ancient Greek mythology as a symbol of transition. Death is always present.”

If you´re not familiar with this band yet, I strongly suggest you give them a listen!!!

For the past couple of years The Liffey’s Källare has been an important place for many of us. Yesterday it all ended. I wasn´t there, but I sure was at the first night in August 2012 and lots of times after that. Cheers to Püssy a Go Go and may you still reign for a long time!:))

The awesome guys from Finspång are coming back to town tomorrow and play together with ENTOMBED A.D and The GRAVIATORS. at Kägelbanan. Hope I can make it there!
Have seen them many times, but the last time was at Sthlm Death Feast almost two years ago. Definitely the best band for Roberth´s (Scar Symmetry, Tormented) killer growl!
