GENERAL SURGERY – Photo shoot in Stockholm 2012-03-18
Very well organized surgeons with meetings before and after the actual malpractice taking place.
Featuring Johanna in the (very important) role of the assistant/light stand.
I happened to forget the light stands at home so she got upgraded.
Dr. Carlsson – guitar
Dr. Eriksson – bass, backing vocals
Dr. Sahlström – lead vocals
Dr. Mitroulis – drums, backing vocals
Dr. Sillman – guitar
According to my galleries it´s been 3 years since my last GS gig?? Again…I miss Tanto, the venue I saw them the last time in 2008. For you who are not familiar with the place, it was a house in a park in Sthlm and it burned down for a couple of years ago. By then it was already lost because the city of Sthlm just snatched the place from the metalheads for whatever reason:( The end of a great era in Sthlm metal. Sucky lights and sometimes really bad sounds but it was home for a long time. Anyway, I went there a few times for the annual GENERAL SURGERY gig in the autumn so for me Tanto & GS (and Club Distotion;)) are forever connected. So that´s why all the nostalgic blahblah:))
They are out now (or should be…?) and in two versions: in red vinyl and also in black with red splatter on it. Limited to 500 copies each. Today I got one of them (a red one) from Laurent at Listenable Records (thanx Laurent!!:)) I love the bigger format because it makes my photos look so cool;) These crappy snapshots are of course nothing like the real thing. It so pretty I could cry:D
Photoshoot & CD stuff HERE. Have to fix up the gallery soon…a few HERE
Got some “presents” last week…
The first ones from my friend Erik who gave me the new General Surgery cd promotion poster & some postcards. My photos, of course;) Think it looked good (in IRL)…here´s a couple of shitty photos of the stuff:
“Present” nr.2: My friends, Takashi and Miho, were here from Hiroshima, Japan last week visiting me. They had found an old issue of Young Guitar with an interview with Roger of Sonic Syndicate. And the photo of him is my work. Took it in the studio for a couple of years ago. Micke J. got also a pic in the article and he got all the photocredits. Bastard! Not his fault, of course…we´ll still be friends;) Someone just didn´t give the info to the magazine when handing over the pics… Anyway. It looks like this:
I stopped saving all kinds of crap for a long time ago, but I always love to get magazines, posters, flyers and stuff with my photos on. So gimme!!!:)
The past week I tagged along with Kitty & Decadence two nights in a row to the deep forests where they shot their first musicvideo. I´ll give you some pics soon…and the video will be really cool!!
Got lots to take care of on extremmetal.se, but I never got the time I need…
Anyway, now I´ve updated the newest General Surgery page with a couple of promopics and some pics from the latest album Corpus In Extremis: Analysing Necrocriticism. All my photos, of course:) GREAT album, btw!!! More G.S. pics coming up one of these days…
My “springbreak” will soon be over and the first gig booked is the Girugamesh / Marionette show at Klubben the 10th of May. After that it will be quite a lot gigs…and other stuff. I hope I will find the time to do some portraits, too. Just for fun. So if someone feels like doing some modeling, mail me or give me a call and I´ll check my calendar! We just walk around for a couple of hours and take some cool pics…
