Arrived too late to see VOLTURYON kicking off the evening (Early!!Around 6.45PM), and I was very sorry for that. However, the bands I did see were really good! Many of them quite new to me. SYN:DROM were really brutal with some NILE´ish feeling.
From band bio:”SYN:DROM was formed in Sundsvall Sweden in 2002 with the intention of making superb death metal the way the members liked it! In 2006 after a couple of years of demo recordings the self released EP “Birth Of A Dark Empire” got to see the light of day. The sound had developed into a concrete wall of brutal death metal with a mix of both European and American sound.”

AEON, also from the Northern parts of Sweden, have been around since 1999.
WIKI: According to Allmusic, Aeon plays “uncommonly intense, technically proficient, high-velocity brand of death metal”. The latest album ”Aeons Black” is getting great reviews in the media. Don´t have it yet, need to do something about it:) (Wrote this in November and the album got out recently;))

SOULDRAINER from way up north opened the STHLM Deathfeast with some really cool melodic metal.  Even I liked it and I´m not that often into the melodic stuff.  So check them out! :) Got some troubles to get the lights right in the camera but managed to get at least some ok pics:)
Current Line-up: Vocals & Guitars – Marcus Edvardsson, Bass – Joakim Wassberg, Drums – Sverker Berggren

GRAVE, headliners of this sold out evening celebrated the 20 year anniversary of their first album “Into The Grave” by playing the whole album. Plus some other classic tunes. Grande Finale of a great evening with Club Distortion & all the bands. The lights were really low and weird so had a hard time to find some ok pics to use:)

According to my galleries it´s been 3 years since my last GS gig?? Again…I miss Tanto, the venue I saw them the last time in 2008. For you who are not familiar with the place, it was a house in a park in Sthlm and it burned down for a couple of years ago. By then it was already lost because the city of Sthlm just snatched the place from the metalheads for whatever reason:( The end of a great era in Sthlm metal. Sucky lights and sometimes really bad sounds but it was home for a long time. Anyway, I went there a few times for the annual GENERAL SURGERY gig in the autumn so for me Tanto & GS (and Club Distotion;)) are forever connected. So that´s why all the nostalgic blahblah:))

VICIOUS ART is no more. The farewell gig was a worthy finale of the band´s career. Crazy as ever and heavy as hell:) Just counted and since 2006 I´ve seen V.A. seven times and every time they did a great show. “Death metal with a twist” for sure:) You´re going to be missed!!
