“Exclusive Steelfest 2025, Death Music Symphony (no album songs)”
It took me ages to finally get myself to Steelfest and see Satanic Warmaster live in -22 (The True Shitstorm Year). Very happy I did and now was my 4th year in Hyvinkää. Every year there has been some contributions from Lauri/Werwolf and now I would be very disappointed if there weren´t.
This year he brought his project The True Werwolf with NO songs from the albums but againsomething different. Like he said himself “not really a blackmetal gig”.

COMMANDER AGARES a.k.a the Festival General Jani with band from Hyvinkää. Very good gig this year also!  All hail Jani!!

I first saw (and got aware of) them when visiting my first Steelfest in -22.  During the festival weekend COMMANDER AGARES released a split with GRAVELAND (who also played at the festival) and they sold it in the merch tent:) Cool stuff always happens at this fest.
This year the Commander released a split with The True Werwolf. One song each. Just found out about it myself and listening right now.
Released in January this year @ Inferna Profundus Records.

“By dyad spells of darkness dirge black metal triumph do two entities hailing from the darkest corners of the Finnish hinterlands conspire oaths of wolven shadow, these by herald of The True Werwolf and Commander Agares, their bloodstained black barbarism to shake even the immortality of the world tree itself. “

One of the greatest at this festival!

Not spoiled with livegigs with these guys (only the second time ever) and both times they were absolutely brilliant! Last time was at the same festival but indoor stage and now playing as the last band outdoors, which suited them very well. Huge crowd and just freaking amazing performance! All hail Lauri Werwolf.
The first time I even listened to SATANIC WARMASTER was in a car travelling from Barcelona to Madrid for a second WATAIN / SHINING show on the trip(2011?). “Where Eternity Awaits”…#neverforget. Still one of the favourites.

Found a review from 2016. SW performing the first time in the UK (Glasgow). With all the usual shitstorm, resulting the original venue backing off etc etc.(Vice) The usual. I met the promotor when I was in UK with VALKYRJA/ARCHGOAT the same year. Great person! Support the good ones! https://www.facebook.com/GigsinGlasgow95

“PEST compose an extremely graphic music, if that could make sense to you. In fact, close your eyes while listening to this and you could see ruined churches under the moonlight and sacrificed virgins upon unholy altars, in the way the old Hammer films depicted that..”

“The main force of PEST lies in the fact that their Black Metal is no estranged from traditional Heavy Metal”
– Voices from the Darkside (“Hail the Black Metal Wolves of Belial” review)

Basically, PEST is no more and hasn´t been for a long time.

Still Lauri Nazgul Werwolf (SATANIC WARMASTER a.o.) put a (the?) band together and presented a really cool gig. Loved it even though I only heard a couple of songs before seeing them live. Very relaxed frontman who seemed to be in a good mood. Stayed around and watched most of it 👍

Not exactly sure about the band on stage but the last known official line up: Skratt Bass, Keyboards Nigrantium Drums Iskariot Guitars Nazgul Vocals, Guitars, Bass, Keyboards
