THE RODS – Sweden Rock Festival 7/6 2014
DIO´s cousin and former member of ELF on stage with his band. Tyrant from NIFELHEIM – one of the mest dedicated fans in the front row:) Shitloads of people!! I was amazed.
Wiki: “The Rods are an American heavy metal band formed in 1978 by David “Rock” Feinstein (guitar and vocals), Steven Starmer ([bass guitar] and vocals), who was later replaced by Garry Bordonaro (bass and vocals) after the first two albums, and Carl Canedy (drumsand vocals). Feinstein had first come to mainstream attention after playing in Elf, with his cousin Ronnie James Dio. The Rods sound differed considerably from Elf, adopting a more traditional heavy metal sound compared with the blues-rock sound that Elf preferred.”

NECROPHOBIC – Sweden Rock Festival 2014
My travelling buddies and the reason I eneded up at SRF this year. I was very excited to see NECROPHOBIC with the new vocalist and can´t say I was disappointed. Quite the opposite. Atte (earlier in the band 1992-1994) is a GREAT frontman and the whole gig was all thunder and darkness even though it was extremely hot and sunny on the stage. Invented a happy dance to “Revelation 666”, but that one you never want to see. It was only for a couple of persons behind the backdrop. Dunno what L.G. thought about it:)) I´m guest appearing in some of the clips below. Never mind that. I had to.
Anyways, even the very sceptic guy (“It simply just CAN´T work out without T.S.”) in the front row seemed to fully enjoy the gig.

Have waited for YEARS!!! DEATH SS was even better than I expected but they didn´t play s.i.a.g.f.o.m ;( Overall an awesome show!!!
Someone with not that much to do in his/hers life reported a couple of my pics on Steve Sylvester´s personal FB. So FB blocked the pictures. Wonder what shoud have happened if I´d been around during the last song;)) Unfortunately I had to run off to take some pics of Therion, so missed that one. Bummer:))

This years visit at the festival were shorter than usual, so BLACK SABBATH on friday night was the first band I saw. Prince of The fucking Darkness!! Still, Tony Iommi is one of the coolest guys ever existed!! May he still stay with us for a long time!!
