“In Slaughter Natives is the piooner band in the symphonic industrial field. Their music is a mix of heavy electronics, martial percussions, religious chants, orchestral samples and gruesome demonic vocals. After releasing some great albums on Cold Meat Industry and Staalplaat, the project remains dormant since many years but keeps getting on stage from time to time”

ORDO ROSARIUS EQUILIBRIO played when the storm hit the boat.

Everything on stage had to be properly secured and both the band and the crowd had sometimes hard time just to keep in balance but everyone was in great mood and the performance was just magnificent!:D I´m not exactly sure when the ORE part ended and TriORE started. The last song(s) could be TriORE feat. ORE. I just take it from where the ORE flag was carried out from the stage:)

(As an extra bonus: The wonderful Attera Nox from the new ORE video/album was working in the merch booth;)

“After putting ARCANA to rest in the past year, Peter Bjärgö has now channelled his creative energy towards his solo works. On what is now his 4th full length solo album, we are granted a calm, thoughtful and at times somber aural voyage. Melodic atmospheric guitar work, lush string arrangements and slow, heavy percussive rhythms are present and elevated to new heights”

“Most of the Danish band’s songs are achingly solemn songs that a writer like Edgar Allan Poe or Charles Baudelaire could have admired . Led by Kim Larsen, the band fittingly employs a traditionalist, Romantic iconography to paint devastating portraits of irreconcilable loss, love, and death. It’s as simple, and as complicated, as that”

“In my mind, the work of Dresden’s Henryk Vogel has been an underplayed secret within the annals of neofolk. His project, Darkwood, formed in the late nineties and has churned out a plentiful self-released catalog of eight full-length albums as well as a couple of singles. With a modus operandi that could be relayed to neofolk fans as a Germanic sibling to scene mainstays Death in June, Darkwood in general is thematically steeped in similar Reich-dyed sense.”

“We are taken on a journey where Sabbatic fires burn into the night, incense smoke dances around the sorcerer’s circle and while whispered incantations are delivered. The album alchemically combines ritualistic elements with vocals and chants, martial percussion, combined with haunting ambient soundscapes, creating its own ceremonial atmosphere.”

“Both participants go beyond themselves and step out of normal character, but TriORE is nonetheless the embodiment of all that which is Triarii, and all that which is Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio; like a succulent apple in two opposite pieces just waiting to be devoured. The bombastic touch of Triarii is still there; the string sections, the choirs, the martial drums and much more; alongside the eloquence of Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio, musically, melodically, as well as lyrically”

“What can we say about Roger Karmanik? How can we even estimate his contribution to the most extreme and experimental aspects of power electronic music ? The captain of the legendary Cold Meat Industry gave the boost to the darkest and wildest sounds of industrial music and, through his own project BDN, disturbed by the power of sound, the brutality of words, the simplicity of the spoken horror, Karmanik defined Death as Bright and revealed the aspects of his own world that few dare to bring up clear.” – Last Day Deaf (re-using from the last post with BDN/CMI 30 years.)

“Sephiroth was created in the year 1990 by Ulf Söderberg, through a genuine and burning interest for myths, rituals, and enigmatic monuments and places erected by mankind itself. Influenced by Graeme Revell, Lustmord and Nurse With Wound, Sephiroth relate stories about the inexorable and destructive power of Time, mankind’s futile attempts of resistance, and the sunken cities, fallen towers, and overgrown ruins that this has resulted in. Dark eerie soundscapes and ritualistic drums are combined with own field recordings from places like Cairo, Iceland and gloomy Nordic forests.”

ROME – “Flowers from Exile” Live! My favourite ROME album in a bit different way.

Truly a great concert! And Vlad, our host and the main man at Death Disco Prod. played the bass so even more points for that:D  The album also turned 10 years and being re issued as a limited deluxe 2×12”Japan Edition. Hand numbered and signed by Jérôme Reuter.

“ROME’s musical and lyrical world is genuinely unique, blending traditional songwriting craftsmanship, unusual arrangements and fine poetry into one monstrous and intimate musical output that combines chanson, dark ambient, apocalyptic folk, pop, acoustic rock, martial industrial, cold wave — all rolled into one impressive avantgarde package.”
