I was very excited to see the Chilean (also partly Swedish these days. with some Danish elements:)) band PROCESSION and they were a great addition to the line up this evening.
From the band bio: “Formed in 2006 by Felipe Plaza and Daniel Perez in Chile’s cultural heart, the coastal city of Valparaiso, they follow the path of tradition, laid out by the masters BLACK SABBATH, CANDLEMASS and SAINT VITUS without mercy, without compromise.”
PROCESSION: Felipe Plaza – guitars, vocals, Jonas Pedersen – guitars, Claudio Botarro – bass, Uno Bruniusson – drums

Soundcheck @ Slakthuset

Slakthuset (the Slaughterhouse) in the meatpacking district near the Globe  is mostly used as a venue for techno etc hip clubs. First time ever I vent there and I was expecting something very different, but the place was actually very homy and nice:)  Great performance by SATURNALIA TEMPLE this completely sold out evening! Very addictive, need to see them soon again!:)

Edit 2012-11-27 15:40: Added Supercoven from Nalen (by hauptling14). Check below. The clip doesn´t pick up the vocals very well, but Liz is crushing it!!!

The most excellent Lisa & Alexandra at Püssy A Go Go did it again and gave us ELECTRIC WIZARD. My review of the gig would be WOW!! It was all that and some more!!:)

Electric Wizard – Supercoven Nalen Sweden 12-10-27

A later addition by cthulol

I love KONGH!!! Olle Hedenström (Sordid Flesh) have joined the guys on stage (bass, live) since the last time I saw them. A brand new album is soon to be released!! And I quote: “The album will be coming to shops on the 5th of February in Europe and 19th February in North Amercia. It will get released by Agonia Records on CD/LP/Digital. Sole Creation – the 3rd album from the doom metal trio – will consist of 4 new tracks and 45 minutes of music, with a guest appearance of John Doe from Craft.

Easily THE stage debut of the year!
Without hearing a single song before the gig (Except the trailer on Facebook. Found one whole song on YouTube the day after), GOATESS live was a total knockout. From the intro (recorded in the drummer´s bathroom for the acoustics:)) to the very heavy end. In between there were just pure evil doom/stoner awesomeness! They´re unsigned for now (as far as I know), but hopefully not for very long. Can´t wait for an album! And more live shows!!

Line Up: Nicky – Guitar, Findus – Bass. Kenta – Drums, Chritus (Lord Vicar, ex-Saint Vitus, ex- Terra Firma…see;)) – Vocals.

»Some bonus pics

Although not officially released until 1998, the debut album was actually recorded in 1982. Pagan Altar reformed in 2004 to record their unfinished second album and have carried on since.”
So PAGAN ALTAR has been around for awhile, but they never really played that much in Sweden. Have to say that Terry Jones had a great voice!! Really cool gig over all. Got some problems with getting the lights right in the pics (all evening!) , but it´s like that sometimes. What can you do:) Shared the photopit with the elite, tho! The fantastic and gorgeous Ester Segarra was in town!! We never actually met before so we bonded some and bought beers to each other:)

I love IN SOLITUDE more for every time I see them live. Could go and see them once every week! Oh, wait…they´re playing on the Sweden Rock Cruise the upcoming weekend;):P I think there I also got a better chance to get some good pics of the drummer, Uno. Their creepy-beautiful intro and following “We Were Never Here” is one of the best openings ever (see the clip below)!! The Metal Crypt review  of “The World. The Flesh. The Devil” (by Christopher Foley) pretty much sums it up (and I quote): “In Solitude are a fucking cool band, so unashamedly old school without the slightest in pretention and they don’t do it because it’s cool. These guys play hard, and they play like they mean it. The World. The Flesh. The Devil packs eight dusty, cobweb-covered odes to all things Satan and the occult, played with the kind of mystical magic rarely found outside of the 80’s.”
Members: Hornper – Vocals, Niklas Lindström – Electric Guitar, Henrik Palm – Electric Guitar, Gottfrid Åhman – Electric Bass Guitar, Uno Bruniusson – Drums

DEGIAL from Uppsala!! It took some time to get the chance to see them live but it was worth the wait!! Awesome!! The great SET TEITAN also appeared as guest vocalist at some point. The lights were good but I still had a hard time to get something decent out of the pics. I did my best, tho:)

Line up: H.Death – Vocals/Guitar, R.Meresin – Guitar, J.Megiddo – Bass, E.Forcas – Drums
