“Founded in 2005 by A. and C. The 2006 promo CD they put out the proceeding year of forming led them to close a deal with Ordo Decimus Peccatum. After T. and J. joined in 2007 the recording line-up was completed, but due to frequent troubles things weren’t finished until January 2008. Lyrics by the band fluctuate between being written in English and Finnish.” – From TMA

“This is for real. Music really has the power to change people’s lives and how they choose to live it, and if that isn’t magic then I honestly couldn’t tell you what is.” – Tobias Fongelius of VOODUS in an interview for Bardo Methodology

“Avslut is a weapon, an uncompromising passage to meet your fate.”
Second AVSLUT gig within quite a short period of time. Awesome bm band from Stockholm. This time I was a bit more familiar with the stuff and except some technical issues interrupting the flow, it was a freaking good performance!

I like the On This Day function. It´s giving me reminders of all the fun stuff and great gigs and festivals I´ve been to:) This one was one particularly eventful trip to Scotland and England with the great ARCHGOAT & VALKYRJA. I never want to end up at Nambucca in London again but I will always remember the organizer in Glasgow (Gigs In Glasgow). He did the very best of what ever limited resources he got and also took care of us all the way to London. I think his name is Vincent? If you ever meet him, buy him a beer or two:)
All of it HERE (livepics also)
The anniversary band! With a serious film crew so guess there will be a DVD? Happy 30th guys!!:D
From the band bio: “While it required several years for Necrophobic to regain their strength, the lineup on Mark of the Necrogram is the fittest and most combat-ready the Swedes have had since Darkside split the heavens in 1997.”
Band Members Anders Strokirk – Vocals Alexander Friberg – Bass Sebastian Ramstedt – Guitar Johan Bergebäck – Guitar Joakim Sterner – Drums
” It’s really important that you have everything; we don’t want to perform if we can’t give all of the stuff that we have. Like we want to use fire, and if the venue says we can’t use it, we don’t want to play that show even if it’s good PR, it’s not worth it. Because we want to give the crowd and ourselves the whole Mephorash experience.”

www.wormwood-official.com: “We want to have the attitude from rock’n roll and have some influences in our music. It makes for a great show. We also wanted to incorporate black metal as many of us likes that. So we took the visuals from it and a big dose of the music. That raw, take-no-prisoner, viscous visage. This is not by any means new, but we wanted to have atmosphere in it. We wanted to have soundscapes from ambient music. Also, we wanted to stay true to our northern heritage, so folk influences was a given.”
