From band bio: “True to their roots, this powerful trio who performs a headstrong metal with roots deep in the impenetrable mire of the stoner/doom/sludge tradition nuansed with streaks of progressive rock, post metal and psychadelica.”
Mighty COLOSSUS @ Kulturhuset, Studion. It was great to see them live for the first time. Really good show and a great start for the evening!

Awesome Polish Death Metal!!
Wiki: “Lost Soul is a Polish technical death metal band established in 1990 in Wrocław. Till 2009 Lost Soul has released four studio album highly acclaimed by both fans and journalists. Latest album Immerse in Infinity was promoted with the first video ever recorded by the band – for the song “…If The Dead Can Speak“.
Jacek Grecki – vocals, guitars – Marek Gołaś – b. voc, guitars – Damian Czajkowski – b. voc, bass – Asmodeus Draco Dux – b. voc, drums
I´ve seen FACEBREAKER many times since Klubben in Stockholm back in 2006. Always great to be at their shows and even though Roberth is a rockstar in SCAR SYMMETRY, this is the shit!!;) While Mika (Lagreen) is occupied by his duties in GRAVE, mr Bendler (ENGULFING RAGE) is touring with the band. And he did great at SDF!
I know Widda mostly from DEMONICAL and never seen his first band which been around for a long long time. At first as Misanthropic Orchestra (since 1996), name change in -98 to DIABOLICAL. At last I could catch them at a live show!! Awesome band!! Awesome gig!
Line up: Sverker Widgren.Carl Stjärnlöv.Tobias Jansson.Dan Darforth.Pär Johansson.
Arrived too late to see VOLTURYON kicking off the evening (Early!!Around 6.45PM), and I was very sorry for that. However, the bands I did see were really good! Many of them quite new to me. SYN:DROM were really brutal with some NILE´ish feeling.
From band bio:”SYN:DROM was formed in Sundsvall Sweden in 2002 with the intention of making superb death metal the way the members liked it! In 2006 after a couple of years of demo recordings the self released EP “Birth Of A Dark Empire” got to see the light of day. The sound had developed into a concrete wall of brutal death metal with a mix of both European and American sound.”

Backdating as hell!!Some of the pics has been on FB:) Metal Archives: Sectu was formed in 2005 by Stefan Lundgren (Necromicon, Sobre Nocturne) and was initially known as Cimmerian Dome.
Line up: Stefan Lundgren – Guitar/Vocals, Anders Ericson – Guitar, CG Bäckström – Drums, Johan Niemann – Bass
Great band! Check them out!
AEON, also from the Northern parts of Sweden, have been around since 1999.
WIKI: According to Allmusic, Aeon plays “uncommonly intense, technically proficient, high-velocity brand of death metal”. The latest album ”Aeons Black” is getting great reviews in the media. Don´t have it yet, need to do something about it:) (Wrote this in November and the album got out recently;))
SOULDRAINER from way up north opened the STHLM Deathfeast with some really cool melodic metal. Even I liked it and I´m not that often into the melodic stuff. So check them out! :) Got some troubles to get the lights right in the camera but managed to get at least some ok pics:)
Current Line-up: Vocals & Guitars – Marcus Edvardsson, Bass – Joakim Wassberg, Drums – Sverker Berggren
Some snapshots of the beautiful people…;)) Big thanks and hugs and kisseeeees to Club Distortion and Sophie & Peter for a great evening.
According to my galleries it´s been 3 years since my last GS gig?? Again…I miss Tanto, the venue I saw them the last time in 2008. For you who are not familiar with the place, it was a house in a park in Sthlm and it burned down for a couple of years ago. By then it was already lost because the city of Sthlm just snatched the place from the metalheads for whatever reason:( The end of a great era in Sthlm metal. Sucky lights and sometimes really bad sounds but it was home for a long time. Anyway, I went there a few times for the annual GENERAL SURGERY gig in the autumn so for me Tanto & GS (and Club Distotion;)) are forever connected. So that´s why all the nostalgic blahblah:))
VICIOUS ART is no more. The farewell gig was a worthy finale of the band´s career. Crazy as ever and heavy as hell:) Just counted and since 2006 I´ve seen V.A. seven times and every time they did a great show. “Death metal with a twist” for sure:) You´re going to be missed!!
