image_coffinslogoCOFFINS promo/album shoot for The Fleshland (2013) in Koiwa, Tokyo November 2011. Just a quick shoot in a rehearsal studio cross the street from Koiwa Bush Bash, the venue for “Koiwa Deathfest” where the band played later the same day. The vinyl version doesn´t contain any photos but the CD does. Uchino sent me both anyways:) Great album!

GRAVE, headliners of this sold out evening celebrated the 20 year anniversary of their first album “Into The Grave” by playing the whole album. Plus some other classic tunes. Grande Finale of a great evening with Club Distortion & all the bands. The lights were really low and weird so had a hard time to find some ok pics to use:)

According to my galleries it´s been 3 years since my last GS gig?? Again…I miss Tanto, the venue I saw them the last time in 2008. For you who are not familiar with the place, it was a house in a park in Sthlm and it burned down for a couple of years ago. By then it was already lost because the city of Sthlm just snatched the place from the metalheads for whatever reason:( The end of a great era in Sthlm metal. Sucky lights and sometimes really bad sounds but it was home for a long time. Anyway, I went there a few times for the annual GENERAL SURGERY gig in the autumn so for me Tanto & GS (and Club Distotion;)) are forever connected. So that´s why all the nostalgic blahblah:))

VICIOUS ART is no more. The farewell gig was a worthy finale of the band´s career. Crazy as ever and heavy as hell:) Just counted and since 2006 I´ve seen V.A. seven times and every time they did a great show. “Death metal with a twist” for sure:) You´re going to be missed!!

WIKI…and I quote: “Gorgoroth was founded in 1992 by guitarist Infernus after making a pact with the devil. In 1993, the band released their first demo, entitled A Sorcery Written in Blood. On January 7, 1994, Firda, the major newspaper in the county of Sogn og Fjordane where the band originated from, ran a cover story on the demo, with the headline “Local music with Satanic symbolism”.
According to the article, the release of the demo and flyers with Satanic symbols led to “concerned parents contacting the Sheriff’s Office in Fjaler”.”
Pest used to do the vocals in 1995–1997, and been back in the band in a few years now. Great show at Klubben, good lights:)

Even after all these line up changes, VADER is still the same. Really good. No fails, no surprises.
Can´t help missing Mauser & Novy, tho…

Right now it looks like this in the band:  Piotr “Peter” Wiwczarek – guitar, vocals (1983–present) – Marek “Spider” Pająk – guitar (2010–present) – James Stewart – drums (2011–present) – Tomasz “Hal” Halicki – bass guitar (2011–present)

VALKYRJA made their way to Klubben with “The Sign of Hell Tour” and for me personally their gig was the most important one that evening. I´m late with the pics, so they already finished their 5-6 weeks on the road and I really hope they made millions of new fans while at it;)
The band is really great live and the album “Contamination” is amazing! They didn´t play “Ambience of The Dead” in Sthlm, and I slightly hate them for that. Actually they stroke the song from the setlist right before my eyes!:O Oh well…anyway, they did a great show!

MySpace: “2011: – The band has concentrated mainly on composing new songs for their follow-up album to DDD. We are planning to enter studio to record and within next year have the album released.
– During the summer, we deicided to concentrate on composing and thus only took part at 1 show, the Eisenwahn Festival in Germany.
– We are hoping for 2012 to be our most active year to date with tonnes of live gigs to support our 2nd album.”
