The Polish giants at the quite small rockclub The Cave…what could possibly go wrong?:)

It turned out to be the greatest night for a long long time and for the first time ever I´m really sad I didn´t stay for the afterparty. Heard they had a blast. The band hardly fit on the stage with all their gear but they seemed to be in an excellent mood and they sure delivered a fantastic set. And the crowd just went crazy!

Can´t remember when I had so much fun:D Wasn´t any good idea to get in front of the stage for some pics, though, but I shooted where ever I could stand a while without being stampeded:). Big thanx to Janet (you crazy person;D) for inviting me.

Second time in a quite short period of time I saw Order of Isaz. Great gig, lots of bad pics. I like some of them, though. Carlos (Black Shadows Tattoos) seems to always show up at the Order of Isaz gigs, so we met again and he gave me one really cool t-shirt:) Nice guy and a great artist!

Not really metal this evening but still…cool bands! O-Kult and Order of Isaz had their releaseparty for a couple of weeks ago (was there, of course) but The Exploding Boy was a new one for me. Good gig.
The band: Johan – Vocals / Acoustic Guitar, Les – Lead Guitar, Stefan – Vocals / Guitar, Nick – Keyboards / Progr.
Hard to shoot but here´s some pics

Got an invitation to tag along on the Sweden Rock Cruise and apparently I´m going boating again in april (8-9). The last time I did such thing was in october 2008, so maybe it´s about time. This time the bands on board are: Death Angel (US), H.E.A.T. (S), Primal Fear (DE), Tony Martin (UK), The Devil’s Blood (NL) and Abramis Brama (S). The M/S Silja Galaxy is a great boat and the stage is really nice.  And there will be people I know, so…It will be fun!
You find he stuff from the last time HERE

They are out now (or should be…?) and in two versions: in red vinyl and also in black with red splatter on it. Limited to 500 copies each. Today I got one of them (a red one) from Laurent at Listenable Records (thanx Laurent!!:)) I love the bigger format because it makes my photos look so cool;) These crappy snapshots are of course nothing like the real thing. It so pretty I could cry:D
Photoshoot & CD stuff HERE. Have to fix up the gallery soon…a few HERE

Get your copies from Listenable Records (they still got some):

tribulationBlod & Svärd w. Kongh & Tribulation@Midsommargården. Really cool so I even bought a t-shirt:) Also the strangest night for a long time…weird things happened. I also broke my lens in the middle of the Tribulation gig when Adam (one of the guitarrists) got some lights on him for the first time, so not many pics of him. He was mostly standing in the dark.
Love the band, though. Could see them once a week, really:) The lens I brought wasn´t my usual giglens, but a 50/1.8 and that one really isn´t my favourite at gigs, because it doesn´t got any wideangle what so ever. So in small venues the range is very limited and not a good choice.
Not for me anyway because I don´t like that kind of photos. Still, it´s very small and lightweight. And now it´s broken. The venue itself was quite a nice hangout with cheap beer but it didn´t really sound any good when the bands were playing. In may I´m going to another gig at the same place so hope It will be better then.

Odenwrath got really unfortunate and had problems with disappearing guitarsounds almost through the whole gig. Still, they seemed to be in quite a good mood and just mangled on. Have to give them lots of kudos for that:)  Hope I get a new chance to see them. Ninnuam were great!! They´ve changed parts of the line up since I saw them the last time (-06) but they were still as good as I remembered. Have to check out the newer material…sounded really good.

I was really curious about This Ending after checking out their latest album on Spotify. I won´t even start bitching about the lights, but i can´t get the pics I´d like to  anymore and  I´m getting a bit tired of even trying to photograph at The Cave.  It used to really like the stage there. Anyway, I get a new chance with This Ending at the STHLM Thrashfest@Nalen in May!! Lots of great bands on the bill!!:) Can´t wait!!
