GRÁ – Black Mass Gbg 8/4 2022

Brilliant gig once again! The stage was perfect but never seen them so illuminated:D Beautiful lights, tho. maybe just a hint too much every now and then.
Except for being this awesome band, GRÁ are also friends and sometimes (like now, thanks guys:)) travelling companions. Good no bullshit people to hang out with:)
As you may know, Heljarmadr is also vocalist in DARK FUNERAL who happen to host a release party in town saturday the 16th [Event page]! See you there!

Ett av dom sista gigsen jag hann med innan allt försvann från oss i början av 2020 var GRÁ & Co i Göteborg. Så hela 2 år har gått:/ Men ny platta på g och giget var absolut prima så dom har inte kommit av sig:)

GRÁ – Belsepub, Gbg 24/1 2020

Roadtrip till GBG med excellent sällskap, mina gamla polare i GRÁ. Grymt bra gig!

“Grá was formed in 2010 by Heljarmadr and Dimman. The band has since then released en EP, three full lenght albums, a mini-CD, two singles, a full live video, done numerous live concerts around Europe and several music videos. Grá performs classic Swedish styled black metal, alternating between Swedish and English lyrics.
The name Grá comes from a mixture of the Icelandic “grár” and the Swedish “grå”, simply meaning “gray”. The major content of the lyrical concept is based upon the ancient Scandinavian religion, or rather upon the dark aspects of ancient Scandinavian spirituality.”

GRÁ – “Väsen” [vinyl] till mig!!

Fick vinylen hemskickad av Björn på Carnal Records (Tack som fan!!!). Synd att jag inte tog bild innan jag öppnade paketet för den var perfekt paketerad så vinylen inte skulle få fula intryckta hörn på konvolutet. Alltså gott om plats runtomkring men plattan var väl stabiliserad och i prima skick:))
Fantastisk skiva igen från GRÁ och jag har ju hört den ett antal gånger på Spotify, men grymt kul att ha det fysiska exet i sin lilla hand. Bra jobb på omslaget av Axel Torvenius. Bandfotot tog vi i Salem december -17 under lagom mystiska omdtändigheter:).

[Vâsen was recorded during 2017 and 2018 at The Grey Studios, Stockholm.

GRÁ – December 2017

Plåtning i Salem, nån gång innan julen 2017 med ett av mina favoritband: GRÀ. Det hela blev lite improviserat i små utrymmen så det blev lite knepigt med ljussättningen. I slutändan vart det bra ändå tycker jag. Med lite trix och fix:) Killarna i bandet har jag jobbat med förut så annars gick allting väldigt smidigt. Bra folk helt enkelt.
En bild för plattan (Väsen 2018), ett par promos och nån singelbild var målet. Ska återkomma med lite fler bilder senare.

GRÁ – En Arena 9/4 2016

This is how to do it! Freaking intense!! Heljarmaðr letting go of the guitar and just go berserk all over the stage. Grim Vindkall (DOMGÅRD etc, live bass) and M (SPAZMOSITY, live guitar) are such perfect additions to the band, so now we finally got a proper display of what an awesome band GRÀ really is! Although Heljarmaðr is keeping busy as the vocalist in DARK FUNERAL, these guys should really go for a proper tour. Soon! Book them!! Hangman´s nooses for everyone!!!;)) The crowd were also everything you could wish for, so it was really THE Grande Finale for this fantastic event. Thanks to all the bands, Adrian @ LS and the Myrheimr´s!
Tried to collect the setlist on Spotify but didn´t find “Klagan och längtan”. So I smoothly replaced it with “Farväl”, my all time favourite;) Works for me. You find it somewhere below.

A long long day with GRÁ

Started out early in the morning when Heljarmaðr picked me and Maugrim up and we headed to THE record fair. Many familiar faces there but omg the queue:)) When we were done, we collected Dimman and had some hours of photo shoot (new album in making!! Heard some of it and it sounded great!!) and we finished the day by going with the guys to the Death Kills festival. A very good day! Snatched the pic of Andreas Heljarmaðr but I think I took it with his phone:) Anyways, as usual it takes awhile before I can show any pics from the shoot.

Grá is not a part of any organized religious movements but stands as an independent force. Grá uses Charon from the ancient Greek mythology as a symbol of transition. Death is always present.”

If you´re not familiar with this band yet, I strongly suggest you give them a listen!!!
