This was a very special event for me!! At last I got to see my friend Akira´s band SOLITUDE live on stage and also meet his bandmates. Takuro & Mats from Spiritual Beast were there also. Really nice to see them!:) The venue was kinda small but omfg how great the sound was! Perfection!! And so was the SOLITUDE gig! 90-something minutes and not one dull second. The guys were fantastic and so much fun to watch:) The bass player Toru had hurt his leg and was really in pain, but he played the long set like it was nothing. A true Metal hero!!:) And Akira…oh wow, he´s an amazing frontman. He used to do the vocals in SACRIFICE (Jap) and at some point they played the intro to “Friday Nightmare”. Everybody went crazy:) So happy I got the opportunity to be there. And I´d be even happier if they could put together an European tour soon!! The latest CD is released in Europe by Fastball so go & check it out! Of course I took lots of pics and almost every one of them are in the gallery;) Missed the band thanking the audience, because my memorycard was full…haha:)

I´ve wanted to see COFFINS for I don´t know how long!!
I had already decided to go and see some other bands this evening but when I saw that COFFINS had a gig at the Death Fest, I changed the plans, mailed the band & organizer if I could come over and take some photos.
Everything worked out fine and later on the band asked me also to take some promo pics (which will follow shortly). Of course I agreed:)
Had a great time with the guys and the gig was SICK!!:)) Total mayhem in a really small venue (Koiwa Bush Bash). Loved it!! Real brutal underground! The line up has changed some and right now it´s a 4 piece. Bungo Uchino on guitar, Koreeda on bass, the used-to-be drummer Ryo in vocals and the new guy Satoshi on drums. Got some cd:s and a t-shirt as a present and I even bought the first album on vinyl and got it signed. The photos are…ehmm…also real underground;))» THE GALLERY

COFFINS promo/album shoot for “The Fleshland“ (2013) in Koiwa, Tokyo November 2011. Just a quick shoot in a rehearsal studio cross the street from Koiwa Bush Bash, the venue for “Koiwa Deathfest” where the band played later the same day. The vinyl version doesn´t contain any photos but the CD does. Uchino sent me both anyways:) Great album!

For a long time ago me and the great Sinister artist Carlos (Aguilar) started talking about a photo shoot for BLACK SHADOWS TATTOOS, and finally we made it happen. After a long & nice day in Uppsala we ended up with shitloads of really cool portraits. I´m really proud and honoured that he asked me in the first place. Also big thanks to Akilles the DevilDog and the 2 Mauri´s for assistance and company:)
Carlos have tattooed many of the greatest bands in extreme metal (SLAYER, KREATOR, NILE, DISSECTION, DESTRUCTION, KRISIUN, DIMMU BORGIR, EXODUS, LOCK UP, VADER… and many more cool bands and musicians.) So of course I also have a tattoo made by him. Pic below. (I love it!!:) B/W, mostly freehand. Done in less than 2 hrs.)
Ännu mera stuff: Fick nya Sweden Rock Magazine idag och resultatet av SEVENTRIBE poolpartyt i Västerås kan beskådas på omslaget (singeln såklart, inte tidningen;)) och på själva skivan. Grymt snyggt om jag får säga det själv:))
Har igen fått lite cool stuff!! Mina polare Dan & Mugur från Rumänien hade med sig en Vlad Tepes t-shirt som dom hade till slut tryckt själva. Vi letade som fan över hela Bucharest i november när jag var där, men hittade inget. Så nu hade dom fixat en custom made för mig:))

Idag fick jag lite grejer som jag väntat på!! Min Barcelonakompis Soraya skickade ett par CD:s med Spanska GRAVEYARD och ERED. Delvis samma folk i båda banden. Oftast får jag plattor när jag har plåtat banden, men har ingen del i dessa. Men hoppas på en plåtning i Barcelona i höst!!;))
Och sist men absolut inte minst: fick äääntligen ett par DIE HARD vinylsinglar från bästa Harry. Thrash Them All / Sadistic Pleasure och Hatred´s Black Flame / Countess Bathory (Venom cover). Apsnyggt (med mina foton från Uppsala shooten!;))

OBRERO: “70’s rock/ doomband with a heavy touch of stoner formed by members of the death/thrashmetal bands Phidion and Talion in 2007. Between autumn 2009 and autumn 2010 Obrero recorded a 12-track demo. In January 2011 the band signed with Night Tripper Records and is currently released its first album.”
Några av killarna kände jag sen länge från andra band som The Protectors och Talion och såg verkligen framemot att göra detta. Hade en bra dag med dom, fast det var KALLT som fan!! Testade runt lite olika locations och det blev nog rätt bra tycker jag:) Extraheder åt Magnus som var total trvkvlt och aldrig övergav sina träskor!!:D
Eldflammor, dieselrök och undergång! RAUBTIER var på väg från Malmögiget till Sthlm och skulle dyka upp på min parkering senare på eftermiddan och plocka med mig på vägen till Harry B. där dom skulle sitta och signera saker.
Innan dess var det tänkt att vi skulle ta lite snabba bilder med nya line-upen (Gustaf J. är ju med i bandet nu som ni vet). Träffade ett par andra bekanta också i bilen – Macke R. (som körde) & Ronnie N.. Väl på Harry B. stack vi in till parkeringshuset bredvid och tog lite snabba bilder.
Allt gick någorlunda civilicerat till och med tanke på omständigheterna och tiden så blev det ändå några som funkade. Vad jag vet så kommer nån av dom dyka upp i Slitz snart i nån intervju. Klubben den 29 oktober gäller!! Corroded lirar också då.
P.S. Hulkoff var hygglig och ritade ett svärd i min bandbok fast det skulle eg. blivit…nånting annat;)
